- “If I don’t read it, nobody has to die.” I said this in response to my roommate’s inquiry as to why I was carrying the unopened, 759-page tome around all morning. Upon opening the book, two things hit me: These people are actually about to die. And clearly, only I could save them. There was only one way to stop it: I snapped the book shut.
- “Allright, Harry. It’s just you and me.” I said this as I tried to get the nerve to start reading. Three times, I opened and closed the book, never letting more than the first word register. But the fourth time,the first sentence wormed its way into my brain. And that, as any Harry fan knows, is all it takes to get hooked. I read the entire thing in two sittings.

I used to say mem-eh, or even me-me, but now, due to the French word 'meme' (which I totally forgot what it means, it's one of those grammary words that our book never spells out for us), I pronounce it 'mem'. Shoutout to my fellow KH+FF fans, during my everlasting and ongoing saga of playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, I now have a moogle named Aksel who will soon be a Juggler class. HAHA YESTERDAY: It's funny how LJ goes down and suddenly I have nothing to look at online. ): And now for a funny Harry Potter review, NO SPOILERS. Sillypants, didn'tcha read the tags? TODAY: I've just finished up reading my summer homework for English, as well as writing down my thoughts and opinions on it all. All I've got left concerning Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By In America is answering the 17 discussion questions at the end. I'm saving that for tomorrow as I've already written a bunch of pages of comments and gotten thoroughly depressed concerning my work future in America. The book talks about trying to live on minimum wage in a variety of cities, but instead of boring essays and half-witted proposals, the author goes out and tries it herself. It's really quite interesting (read: dream-shattering ;_;) and opened my eyes a little bit, which is to note since my mom and I live off probably around $1000-$1500 a month - you'd think I'd have a relative grasp of it all. On to my ideas about what I want in a college. I still have little idea of any potential majors, beyond that I'm not a doctor or a lawyer. But what I do have is what I want in the atmosphere of my college. I want to be in a small/medium class size (20>class size>10) in a college/university (what's the difference anyway) that is quality without quanity ( Bah, I am done wondering about the future for today. I ponder enough to make me worried that I'm turning into my mother, and I have a rather delectable Draco/Harry fic to finish up. :D |

| 11:23 am | GUYS I AM SO EXCITED :DDDD I am about 35 minutes away from leaving to go over to my friend's house to spend the night and then on Friday night, get DEATHLY HALLOWS. I AM PSYCHED, PEOPLE. ANYWAY, since I won't be online until late Saturday/Sunday (I think I'll have DH read by then :3), I just wanted to say hi and good luck on (not) getting spoiled [since fishypooser, you are crazy and WANT to get spoiled wth?] and OMG TWO DAAAAAYS~ Once I finish DH, I'll make a big shiny pink fonted lj-cut post with opinions and rants and whatevers, and those of you who are into Harry Potter (I am sorry if you aren't, you must be hiding from the internet these days-very scary times), once you've read it, come on over and talk.SO IN CONCLUSION=YAY. | 11:58 pm | So excited~ I think it's safe to say that for the next week (!!!), my posts will have something to do with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. :D Rest assured, you poor few who will have to wait to get the book, I'll limit spoilers. So no, "OMG DUMBLEDORE DIIIIIIES" like the 6th book was. ... I hope you already knew that. Oops. Anyway, I found my belt on my neighbor's doorstep yesterday ("oh, so that's your address?" :|), but it was a size too small. I returned it at Walmart and got the right size and I love it. :D I also got the rest of the stuff for my Tonks!cosplay, and today, I patched the pants and squeeeee it looks so sweet! This is sadly a first for me, getting a costume to work out. D: It's probably because I decided to jump headfirst into it and do the sewing myself. Sewing's fun, but I guess that's because all I'm doing is just patches on pants but oh well~ Still mindnumbingly relaxing, I can't wait to actually patch my real hole-ly pants! :3 That'll have to wait until I stop poking myself in the finger with needles though, ow. My mom dyed the white shirt purple a bit earlier, and oh man, I love purple. This costume will be so kick-ass, I can't wait! Anyone want pictures, I'm trying to find someone with a digital camera. Snap, I just found spoil_me_dh and started reading. I stopped because I don't want to analyze everything so much pre-release that I have a set idea of what's going to happen or could happen or probably'll happen. | 11:27 am | UPS NOOOOOOOOOOOO DAMNIT. I ordered a nifty belt off Walmart a week ago and it was supposed to be delivered yesterday/today. So, I go on UPS to check the status right? And what do I see??? Delivered: 7/09/07, 11:09 am WHAT. I died. It was NOT delivered Monday. I did not receive it Monday. WHAT ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT?! They probably gave it to my neighbors who are EVIL PACKAGE HOGS WHO KEPT MY BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR TWO MONTHS UNTIL THEY FINALLY GAVE IT TO ME. Retards! I hate having a dumb street that goes 10227-10231-10229 for NO APPARENT REASON and as such pizzas get lost and packages get misplaced. I guess I will have to get dressed and walk over and ask if they received a package later. D: My neighbors are weird, drunk rednecks too. I will now go make angry!breakfast for myself and think angry!thoughts. |

| 6:08 pm | mmmm. Publix Y'know, I think the main reason I love both Zaxby's and Publix's fried chicken (KFC, ew no) is because of the breading. I mean, I love chicken too, but the BREADING MMMMMMMMMM AWESOME. I'll risk my blood pressure (which is below average, coincidentally woohoo!) as well as my heart to eat more fried chicken, it is just that delicious. Sort of like the only reason I love salad is probably just to have an excuse to eat croutons. XD Daily Countdown to Deathly Hallows: 13 DAYS HOLYCRAP. >DDDD Another random!food note: I have K-Cereal again. SWEET. My breakfast is complete again. I put too much sugar on this morning though. D: Mom was off yesterday, so since she was sick Friday, we decided to go out to do errands (read: food and tonks!shirt). She felt a little iffy in the morning, but was good by about 1pm. Now me, I'm a "lets leave at 9am so we can get back early! :DDDD" type of person, probably just because I'm used to it from school and I wake up in 10 minutes usually. But, Madre? Uh, not so much. We left at 6:15pm. Dx So, no tonks!shirt yet. Just food (which I mean, OMG PUBLIX! but not what I had in mind timewise- bed at 12 instead of 10). She's next off on Tuesday (holy crap) so we'll see then... Am I (and my sister because she started it) weird for waking up at 6:30/7am on a day off just to go out and do typically unfun things? I'm not a crazy shopper person, but I am amused by wandering around in malls/shops/whatnot. Do tell. (: Homework started today. I outlined 8/40 pages of Chapter 16: Psychological Disorders for my Psych homework. And I'm really tired of writing 'psychological disorders' and all the other words they say over and over. I suppose you can't just say crazy people or retarded chickens because that's mean and besides it's a college level textbook but geez. I ended up shortening it to 'psych dis', and I only misspelled 'psychological' twice. :D Go me~ I like working around the house or taking my dog for walks or playing DDR (I've slacked off ;_; ), and I would a heck of a lot more except... IT'S HOT. Dx AND HUMID. AND I'M LAZYISH. But, I'm going to try and start up again since I've decided on a 'new deal' (lol FDR WOOTWOOT .___.;;) with myself this schoolyear. I figure, since it's junior year now, and I'm actually in IB for real, I'd try (as I said I do every year then drop off later) to keep up. I've been warned repeatedly of the oncoming onslot of stress and work and projects, so I'm trying to get myself in gear early! First item on the agenda: get rid of long, easily-tangled 1.5 footlong hair. :\ I want it shorter. I believe it is dinner time now so I am going to eat more publix!fried chicken. READ IT AND WEEP. As to my previous one, it's nuts what browsing capslock_bleach does to your ability to use lowercase letters! x___xI was randomly reading an interview of Tetsuya Nomura, and he was talking about the FFXIII mini-franchise thing.. "Those previous projects as director were the Kingdom Hearts games, which are much lighter than what we know of Versus XIII. Is the darker concept you have outlined a necessary change for you as director? The world of Versus XIII might be a little closer to my personal taste than Kingdom Hearts, but the entire project owes something to Kingdom Hearts as well. When I first began KH I was part of the FF core team, and tried to bring elements of that into the development. The KH team was always inspired by FF, and I’d like to see that reversed. But as for the differences between KH and FF, KH is a lighter world of magic, fantasy, and people doing good things. I’ve been in that world for a very long time – perhaps too long." DUNDUNDUN. WOOHOO I GET MORE BLEACHY GOODNESS. XD IM SO EXCITED. Also, for some reason, I got the urge to go on Neopets. I blame all the cute animal references I've been running into. But MAN, things have CHANGED. I still miss it during Y1, when it was like HOLY CRAP I HAVE 1000 NP I AM RICH. And everything wasn't quite so cute. Not that I don't like cute, I do. It's just, I want a Rottweiler/Great Dane/Doberman/other large scary dog when I move out. Not necessarily so it'll bite people's heads off, but because somehow large scary things can be cute as well. (Note: I think people make their dogs grouchy not the other way around. I know many pit bulls who are sweet and very 'OMG PET MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE', but it's because their owners take care of them. stick me out in the yard on a chain and NARHG off goes YOUR head) My lab pet who I zap is a Korbat (for those who don't know, a -bat-. s'not that hard), and it's CUTE. Bats are not cutecute, they are that kind of freaky!cute, like naked mole rats or something. In conclusion, any of you guys have any addictions to sites? Not including LJ/MySpace (eww XD). | 9:43 am | It was scary, f-list... Very scary. My mom brought home a splitter for our phone jack, that way I couldn't keep forgetting to plug back in the phone line once I got offline (heh oops ^^;;). So I put both the computer's line and the phone's line into the two-side and plugged in the splitter's head to the wall. Or, at least, I tried to stick it in. The head was a -little- too big. So I manuevered it inside, and click, it was in. (god. *headdesk* this sounds like a porno. .___.) Short story shorter, I think it broke my phone jack. ;_; So, we called up Embarq (phone company, for those who don't know) and told them to fix it. Fake Conclusion: Brenna faces a week without internet. D: She is sad, and plans to move computer back into mother's room, where a working phone jack is. Mother refuses. Brenna decides to be ninja and do it anyway. Real conclusion: Phone guy shows up next morning at 8:10 just as Brenna was planning to take a shower. She hurriedly throws on clothing again and goes out to talk to phone guy. Jack is fixed and Brenna is once again online 40 minutes later. :DDD Also, I finally finished watching all of Bleach anime eps that I have, which is sadly only up to #41. CLIFFHANGER ARRRRRRRRRRRGH. How I hate! I mean, I understand how it's moving along so far and I haven't chosen a world yet or anything, just... I'm nervous because it's been a week, and I just joined yesterday so what would I do? | 2:14 pm | BLARGH. (written Monday, just got around to posting -__-;;; ) I am ALIVE. Amazingly, it's been probably about two weeks since logging in online - I have no idea how I've done it. My mind is craaaaaaving to read a squishy adorable RS fic, so I had to get on and break the cycle that has lasted so long. I've missed LJ sooo much. ♥ So why have I been dead-to-the-world for so long? A few reasons AKA DRAMA. Not real-oh wait yes. 1) I just finished up volunteering 8am-3pm @ my HS for a total of 65ish awesome hours, so the S in CAS is done! (S=service hours, CAS= community/action/service, IB kids have to have a total of 50 each by mid-senior yr to graduate). While I did get to d/l some nifty FSTs and some other cool games on VHS' super T-something connection, I didn't dare go too near LJ for fear they'd block it again, and after sitting at a desk for that long, even messing around on the computer, I didn't really want to go sit at my desk again and deal with my crappy bipolar dial-up (kidding kidding, I love you baby please don't leave me stay connected please? -____-;;) 2) ITS CRAZY HOT DOWN/UP/WHATEVER HERE IN FLORIDA, SAPS YOUR ENERGY BETTER THAN ELDER DRAGON IN FFXII 3)OHRITE. FFXII ;_; it's a terrible story, and has not much to do with my lack of internetting BUT. I will tell those who care. I was starting a new game in FFXII, mkay? All spiffy, got Master Reks up to the first save point, starting saving RIGHT OVER MY OLD GAME AHHHH. It's because I'm so used to not paying attention while I save. So I emit a scream and fall off my couch and scoot frantically over to my PS2 to try and shut it off. (in hindsight, it probably looked very funny) It didn't work. I corrupted the old file and lost the new one. 300+ HOURS AND LEVEL 70+ CHARACTERS -- ALL DOWN THE DRAIN. I've been trying to muster back up the courage to restart, I miss my kickass Basch and Penelo (oh and Ashe too I guess mmpfhghpssshtnah). 4)I am lazy and it is hot by my computer and for some reason I have headaches now. :( 5)My sister is have crazy times trying to move back in her house and its lots of drama and her boyfriend's finally getting out of jail (long story, he's a good guy, nothing too serious so YAY) so that's more crazy, and she gets so nervous so I must calm her back down which makes me tired and lazy, and her boyfriend calls randomly so musnt get on the phoneline lest we miss his call. ^Basically a lot of negativos to me getting online. So now for some positives in my life! Even though I did not get a DS like I wanted, I did get an adorable new pair of shoes (very scene-ish I guess? and not to shabby on prices, $26) and two awesome shirts ($7 each, can we say hell yes?). Also, I bought my summer/school books (not "summer school"), which isn't exactly YAY but is good in that grumbling 'yeah I guess so mmm' BUT HOLY CRAP about $70 ;_;. HOWEVER, I did finally order MARS vol 7 which I've been wanting for a year - volume 6 is such a cliffhanger and dangit, where's my Rei/Kira fandom? I'd kill for a MARS fandom, no matter how small - so that should be delivered to my house in a few days (tomorrow :D? one can hope). Haha, another reason for me not to get online, there's been so much drama around LJ lately - Fanlib overall, those suspicious deletions of accounts, the RS revival in the KH Fandom (I support it but not the way it was started, KH fans are not super wanky by nature let's keep it that way! :D) I'm off to sedate my urge for squishy RS fics -> Reccomendations are accepted wink wink nudge nudge. Old but good are okay, if nothing I'm just going to start browsing outwards from uzumakisama as hers were the fics which got me into slashing in the first place! ♥ Hasta luego~ |
